Frank and Tony were professional, courteous, and efficient as possible. They recently moved my family out of our 2100 sq ft house, into a storage unit, and new house rental. Their moving experience and ability to consolidate all of our items was awesome work. Nothing was damaged or broken. They took great care to shrink wrap and use moving blankets on anything that needed it, including light-colored furniture that was going into self-storage. They had no problem with the extra request to help us consolidate our other smaller self-storage unit into the larger new one, and then turned around back to our house, and helped us move all relevant boxes to our new rental location. No question, I will call Southside Moving and Storage again as soon as we are ready to move. Thanks Tony for helping us schedule this move!!

Marcus and Marcel took care of our move today. They were both very courteous and professional and they did a great job with all of our stuff. The entire process took about 6 hours, which we were very pleased with considering the amount of furniture and boxes we had and the distance between our old apartment in Norfolk and new house in Chesapeake. I would highly recommend Southside Moving and Storage and will definitely be utilizing them again in the future!

My name is Miss Mitchem, and I wanted to take a moment to let you know how terrific Tony is. A couple of weeks ago I filled out a questionaire on a website that then resulted in being contacted by numerous moving companies. Of all the people with whom I spoke, Tony was hands-down the friendliest, warmest, most well-spoken and professional. He proactively reached out to me repeatedly, without being obtrusive. At this time, I have elected not to use a moving company for my upcoming move, but I will absolutely use Southside in the future, and will happily refer my friends and colleagues to your company as well. Thank you, Tony!I hired Corey and 2 other movers to move my entire apartment and they did an incredible job! This is the second time I had hired Southside Moving and Storage and I always have a great experience with them. Even when the elevator in my new apartment was broken down, they quickly adjusted without any hesitation and were able to move everything up to the third floor using the stairs. They did a great job wrapping and placing all of my furniture and fragile artwork/ mirrors and were extremely efficient. I definitely recommend using this company to anyone moving in Norfolk Va.

I wanted to take a quick minute and write now that the dust is settling in Lorton after our move! We were so impressed with our movers that came to move us on December 13th from Midlothian and then unpack us again in Lorton on 12/15.
It wasn't an easy move. When we got up to Northern VA they were calling for sleet/freezing rain and other winter weather. Our movers never once broke stride; they kept up the pace, and were smiling and professional. The cold was really biting, but we got the truck completely unloaded in 1/2 a day. I was so impressed.
There was always clear and professional communication; some of our boxes weren't labeled because we forgot to do that on our way out of Richmond! Our movers were so kind; if we opened a box and found that it had been put in the wrong room, they would move it.
We also have two small kids (age 4 and 2 1/2) running around; I'm sure they were a nuisance at some point in the day despite my husband and my efforts to keep them out of the way. They were so good with the kids. We would not hesitate to use you all again and will be recommending you to family and friends who may need a mover in the future. Thanks again for all of your timely follow up and the wonderful crew you sent to make this hectic time in our lives a little less stressful! I used these guys in August. I have never used a moving service before as I usually get help from friends. The rates were pretty reasonable so I went for it. Everything went about as smoothly as possible. Going from Virginia Beach to Chesapeake was around 4 hours. They were right on time, very easy going and courteous. They also helped take everything apart and back together. For my first moving service, I was pretty satisfied. I would honestly refer Southside Moving and Storage to anyone else moving in Hampton Roads. Even if you had friends to help! Great experience!

MY moving experience was phenomenal! Everyone that was involved in the move did a great job starting with the estimator (Marcus ), to the account manager (Joe), to the movers who picked up our belongings and delivered it to my new house. I am more than satisfied with the moving service and extremely happy that I chose Southside Moving and Storage to help us with our move, The moving team really took the stress out of the process. Everything went according to plan and was delivered on time without any damage to my belongings. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to relocate, and would let you know that everything will be delivered in one piece!

From start to finish we had an excellent experience with Southside Moving and Storage! They were the ultimate professionals and did an outstanding job moving our house hold goods from Ocean View to Ghent in Norfolk. And goodness we had a ton of stuff to move and it all made it there without and problems! What we really loved is that we were always in contact with the Southside Moving operations manager Deanna and she kept us informed about what was going on. Three WONDERFUL young men (Rashad, Tre' & James) packed my three bedroom house in an hour ( we did alot of prep) and then moved it all into the new house in an hour! Very professional, efficient and friendly three man moving crew. They moved a piano and furniture that belonged to my mom who passed away. Our moving team took considerable care when loading and unloading our furniture and other items. They wrapped our cabinets and tables with blankets for safe moving with no added cost. At no time we felt pressure of anything going wrong, thanks to our courteous movers. There were no surprises on the final bill. Using Southside Moving and Storage was well worth the peace of mind and stress free move! Hands down the best move ever. Moving is a tough job and these guys did a phenomenal job. I would recommend them to all my friends. I hope not to be moving again, but if I do Southside Moving and Storage will be my first call.

"Deanna was great! Really pleasant on the phone and was very accommodating when we needed to change our time/date at the last minute. The guys showed up early, which was a plesant surprise! I have moved with the military for over 20 years and this company was by far the most polite and professional crew I've ever seen. Movers surpassed my expectations and were EXTREMELY careful with my furniture. I have several high-end pieces and the movers took care in ensuring they got from point A to B with out damage. “The three guys were amazing! I have moved three times in the past two years and these guys were far and away the best. Here’s why: They were polite, professional, courteous, and they weren’t ‘put out’ that they had to move furniture (movers in the past have arrived and were almost ticked off that they had to work). They weren’t upset that they had to move a piano, nor did they complain that they had to take furniture up two full flights of stairs to the house. I will ask for these guys again when I move again in 6 months!”

“The Relocation Specialist, Lewis, was very thorough and concise in providing me all the necessary information for my move. The mover did hit a slight delay in traffic; however they called en route to update me on their progress and still arrived within their arrival window. The movers were polite, efficient, and professional, almost to the point of making me uncomfortable because they were so polite! They worked with almost no breaks and moved very quickly the entire time with no damage to any of my items and didn’t “milk the clock” for time.
